Ph.D. Iqbal Studies (M.Phil based)

Eligibility:	·         M.Phil Iqbal Studies from any recognized university in first division or CGPA (3.0). ·         GRE/GAT in the subject Iqbal Studies arranged by AIOU/NTS. ·         Test/Interview by the Ph.D. admission committee.
Admission Procedure:	The candidates are required to send original admission form complete in all respects to: Dr. Shahid Iqbal Kamran Chairman, Department of Iqbal Studies Block No. 08, AIOU, Sector H-8, Islamabad
Admission Confirmation:	The selected candidates will be informed by the admission department to deposit the admission fee.
Duration:	Minimum:          Three years. Maximum:         Five years.
Total Credits:	18 credit hours of course work as required by HEC.
Medium of Instructions:	Urdu, English
Methods of Instructions:	Assignments, Fact to face teaching in shape of workshop.
Research Work:	The thesis of Ph.D. must be a distinct contribution to knowledge and must offer evidence to originality, shown either by the discovery of new facts or by the exercise of independent critical judgment.
Evaluation:	As per recent amendments of AIOU rules and regulations. In the light of HEC directives Ph.D. thesis is necessary to be sent for evaluation to three foreign experts from technological advanced countries.
Viva Voce:	The pre-requisites of viva voce are unconditional approval of research work from at least two foreign experts and publication/acceptance of one research paper in HEC recognized research journal
