M.Phil (Mass Communication)

Eligibility:	·          Master’s degree in Mass Communication/Journalism with at least second division from any recognized university.
GAT Test:	As per HEC policy for admission in M.Phil Programs, the applicants will be required to appear in GAT test arranged by National Testing Service (NTS). This test will be held after the closing date for admission. The passing score of this test is 50 out of 100 marks.
Admission Procedure:	The candidates are required to send original admission form complete in all respects to: Chairman, Department of Mass Communication AIOU Broadcast Center Allama Iqbal Open University, H-8, Islamabad.
Admission Criteria:	§         Merit §         Only short-listed candidates will be called for test/interview.
Admission Confirmation:	The selected candidates will be informed by the admission department to deposit the admission fee.
Duration:	Minimum:        Two years. Maximum:       Three years.
Total Credits:	36 Credit hours (24 credit hours course work and 12 credit hours of research project).
Medium of Instructions:	The medium of instruction and examinations is English.
Workshops:	There is a series of mandatory workshops at the end of each semester. Special workshop during third semester.
