Selection process
The first stage of the selection process is a screening of all applications received, against the entry criteria specified above. Please note: Applications who do not meet the entry requirements stipulated above, will not be entered into the second stage of the selection process and will be informed of this in January 2012. Those not receiving notification in January can assume that their applications have gone through to the second stage.
The second stage of the selection process takes place in January when the Joint Selection Board constituting all three EU partner institutions will meet to review and approve the list of students. During the student selection process, due weight will be given to the stated rationale for undertaking this international programme, their level of qualification, their ability to communicate clearly, the nature and relevance of prior professional experience and the manner in which international co-operation and understanding will be fostered after completion of the programme. Applications will be reviewed against the consortium’s selection criteria and attention given to the first/second degree, grades and English language attained by applicants.
A list of all selected applicants will then be reviewed for approval by the EU between February and March. Results of successful and unsuccessful candidates can only be released in April 2012.
