Synopsis Development Workshop of M. Phil Food & Nutrition Program:
Department of Home and Health Science offers M. Phil Food & nutrition programme to Nutrition and Health Professionals who want to enhance their degree in related discipline. It is a research based degree; therefore thesis is compulsory component of the program. Since quality assurance and maintenance of educational standards is one of the top priorities of AIOU, therefore students from all over Pakistan were invited for one week synopsis development workshop at the main campus Islamabad, which was held in two phases. These workshops were conducted under the close supervision of Dr. Nomana Anjum, Chairperson Department of Home and Health Sciences. The faculty members and the resource persons from the twin cities imparted their potential input to students in development their research synopsis. the synopses prepared by the students were thoroughly discussed and finalized in these workshops. the external resource persons who gave their valuable input included Dr. Riffat Ayesha Anis, Director, SAARC Human Resource Development Center (Ex-Chief Nutrition Division NIH), Prof. Abdul Qayyum, Biostatician from Pakistan Medical Research Council (PMRC). These synopses are now ready to be placed in Board of Advanced Studies and Research (BASR) for recommendation.
